Dear SMPS Tampa Bay Members,
March is turning out to be an incredible month for our chapter, and I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates and announcements with you. First, I want to celebrate the news that our 2026 Transportation Industry Event is sold out!
Seeing this signature program reach capacity so quickly is a testament to the value and relevance our chapter continues to deliver to the A/E/C industry throughout the region. Thank you to our immediate past-president, Michelle Casele, our past-president, Katie Batil-Bigler, and everyone on the program and communications committees who made this event such a success. Your engagement and collaboration continue to inspire our chapter, and you’ve set the bar for all of us moving forward.
WHAT’S HAPPENING NEXT?
March 12: Marketing Bootcamp (Event Link)
This immersive, full-day professional development experience is designed for A/E/C marketers looking to gain new knowledge or reinforce best practices. Sessions are led by four former SMPS Tampa Bay presidents and our current President-Elect, who will deliver impactful, meaningful strategies, experiences, and insights you can implement immediately.
Here’s a sample of what you can expect to learn:
- Research-driven pursuit strategies
- Writing stronger, more competitive proposals
- Delivering winning interviews and presentations
- Building long-term client relationships

March 25: The Ultimate Industry Headshot Social (Event Link)
At SMPS, we’re all about delivering new kinds of networking opportunities for our industry, and the 2nd Annual Ultimate Industry Headshot Social is one you don’t want to miss! Join us on Wednesday, March 25th, from 4:00m to 7:00 pm for an event tailor-made for executives, teams, and industry professionals looking to enhance or update their professional brand while networking in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Attendees will have the chance to update their professional headshots while connecting with fellow marketers, business developers, and industry leaders from across the region.
Whether you’re refreshing your LinkedIn profile, updating your team’s bio and headshots, or simply looking to expand your network, this event offers a fun and easy way to invest in your brand while building relationships within our community. Sponsorship opportunities are available for firms that want visibility in front of a highly engaged group of A/E/C professionals.

WHEN IS THE BIGGEST HEALTHCARE EVENT IN TAMPA BAY HAPPENING?
May 7: The 16th Annual SMPS & AIA Tampa Bay Healthcare Event
We’re thrilled to announce that our annual healthcare program with AIA Tampa Bay will take place on May 7th from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Shana and Bryan Glazer JCC. For anyone unfamiliar with this event, it brings together leaders from design, construction, and healthcare delivery to explore trends, challenges, and opportunities in this critical market segment. Not only is this event one of the most anticipated of the year, but for 16 years and counting, it is the largest single-day healthcare-focused event in the industry!
