Dear SMPS Tampa Bay Members,
As we enter the holiday season and close out the first quarter of our chapter year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to our board and committees for an incredible start. Their creativity, collaboration, and dedication have been the driving force behind our early success. Every program, event, and initiative we’ve launched so far reflects the collective effort of volunteers who care deeply about strengthening our community and delivering value to our members.
Our call to action this year remains Learn More. Win More. With SMPS. And our members have certainly embraced that spirit.
We kicked off the fall with Bold Impressions: Digital Impact, a hands-on workshop focused on personal branding and content creation. Hosted by Amanda Gonzalez and the talented team from Paloma Studios, attendees learned practical ways to refine their digital presence and tell their professional story with confidence. The energy in the room was contagious, and the feedback we received reaffirmed just how much our members value actionable education that fuels both career and firm growth.
We also launched our CPSM Discover Kickoff Event, which introduced members to the path toward earning their Certified Professional Services Marketer designation. The upcoming in-person CPSM study sessions, hosted by our very own Lissette Callejas, CPSM, begin this winter and will give candidates a chance to collaborate, learn from peers, and gain insight from a certified mentor who has already completed the process.
Our Coffee & Connections meetups continue to grow in popularity and reach, now expanding to Sarasota and Lakeland in addition to Tampa and St. Pete. These casual, welcoming gatherings have become a staple of our chapter culture — offering space for real conversations, professional networking, and a strong cup of coffee to start the day right. Check the chapter calendar for upcoming dates and locations.
Looking ahead, our Programs and Membership Teams are gearing up for a robust 2026 lineup. Mark your calendars for three events you won’t want to miss:
- January 15 – 2026 Kick-off and Meet the Board Social
- March 5 – Annual Transportation Event
- March 12 – Bootcamp Part 1: All-Day Mini Conference (four sessions in one day)
Finally, we’ll soon be releasing a member survey to gather your feedback on programming, professional development, and chapter value. Your input will directly shape our 2026 initiatives and ensure that everything we deliver aligns with what matters most to you. Our focus on member value is higher than ever, and we’re committed to making sure every event, every conversation, and every connection through SMPS Tampa Bay helps you grow and succeed.
