SMPS Tampa Bay Members,
July is here and SMPS Tampa Bay isn’t slowing down.
Over the past month, our chapter has been active with new mentorship connections, impactful programs, and meaningful community service. That energy comes from you.
As we settle into summer, it’s a great moment to ask yourself what challenge you’re ready to take on next. Growth happens when we stretch, when we take the hard path, and when we choose to get uncomfortable. Do the hard things. Challenge yourself. That’s how we move forward.

Past Event Highlights: Strengthening Networks and Sharing Knowledge
June 19th | Coffee & Connections:
On June 19, SMPS Tampa Bay hosted its monthly Coffee & Connections at Raining Berries in both Tampa and St. Pete, providing a relaxed, in-person networking opportunity for members and guests.
It was a great morning filled with conversation, idea sharing, and meaningful connections within our marketing and business development community. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
June 26th | Just AI in Proposals: Smart Strategies for Proposal Pros
On June 26, SMPS Tampa Bay hosted Just AI in Proposals, a virtual training designed for A/E/C marketers and proposal professionals interested in using artificial intelligence in a practical and purposeful way.
Led by an industry expert, this session provided real tools and insights to help attendees:
Whether participants were new to AI or looking to advance their skills, the session delivered immediately usable strategies and sparked valuable discussion.

Upcoming Events
July 10th | Monthly Board Meeting – Virtual
The SMPS Tampa Bay Board will meet virtually on July 10 for its monthly meeting. These sessions offer a valuable opportunity to share updates, review ongoing initiatives, and collaborate on upcoming programs and strategic goals.
All current board members are encouraged to attend and come prepared to discuss key action items and chapter business. This meeting is open to all SMPS Tampa Bay members - as well as non-members who are interested in getting involved. July 17th | Coffee & Connections – Tampa and St. Pete
Join us on the morning of July 17 for our next Coffee & Connections, taking place simultaneously in both Tampa and St. Pete. We’re meeting at Raining Berries, a local favorite known for great coffee and even better vibes. Whether you’re a longtime member or new to SMPS Tampa Bay, this informal meetup is a great opportunity to start your day with good conversation, meaningful connections, and a strong cup of coffee.
There’s no agenda. Just drop in, say hello, and connect with fellow A/E/C professionals in your area. We look forward to seeing you there!
July 30th | Strategic Planning Meeting | Incoming 2025–2026 Board – Cigar City in Tampa
At the end of July, the incoming 2025–2026 SMPS Tampa Bay Board will come together for a Strategic Planning Meeting focused on setting goals, aligning priorities, and building a strong foundation for the year ahead.
The session will include open discussions around chapter growth, member engagement, and programming, along with fresh ideas to support our mission of advancing the A/E/C marketing profession.

July 31st | Summer Social at 3 Daughters Brewing – St. Pete - 4 pm to 7 pm
To close out the month, SMPS Tampa Bay is heading to 3 Daughters Brewing in St. Pete for our Summer Social. This laid-back event invites members, guests, and industry friends to enjoy an afternoon of connection, conversation, and a little fun in the Florida sun.
Whether you’re making new connections or catching up with familiar faces, the Summer Social is a great way to celebrate the season and the strength of our community. We hope you’ll join us!
