Dear SMPS Tampa Bay Members,
Spring is in full bloom - and so is the energy within our chapter! Over the past month, we’ve seen firsthand what happens when passionate professionals come together to share knowledge, build connections, and uplift one another. From mentorship kickoffs to impactful panel discussions and meaningful community service, your involvement continues to drive our mission forward.
As we move into May, let’s keep that momentum going! This month is all about growth - professionally, personally, and as a community. Whether you're deepening your industry knowledge, expanding your network, or exploring new leadership opportunities, there’s never been a better time to lean in and make the most of your SMPS membership.

Past Event Highlights: Building Connections & Elevating Expertise:
April 10 - In-Person Board Meeting & New Member Orientation
We welcomed new and returning members at our first in-person board meeting of the year, sharing updates on chapter initiatives, strategic goals, and upcoming events. During the orientation, new members had a chance to meet the board, learn about our committees, and explore ways to engage with SMPS Tampa Bay.
It was a great morning of connection, clarity, and collaboration to kick off the spring season.
April 22 - Service Day at Feeding Tampa Bay
Our SMPS Tampa Bay chapter proudly partnered with Feeding Tampa Bay for a hands-on day of service, working together to provide meals to families in need. We’re committed to giving back to our community, and this volunteer day was a meaningful reminder of the impact we can make - together.
April 30 - Tandem Mentorship Program Kickoff
We officially launched our 2025 Tandem Mentorship Program! This signature initiative is designed to empower our members through meaningful mentor-mentee connections, peer collaboration, and professional growth. Whether you're looking to lead or learn, Tandem offers the tools and relationships to help you take your career to the next level.

May 1 - Real Talk: The Business of Winning
Our recent “Real Talk” session brought together a powerhouse panel to discuss what it really takes to win work in today’s AEC industry. From cultivating client relationships to delivering standout proposals and interviews, attendees walked away with actionable insights on how to build long-term success beyond the RFP. It was an inspiring conversation filled with practical strategies and candid advice on securing more work.
